
PRESTONFIELD PARK
Significant features of this park located in the Prestonfield subdivision are a buffer woodland area, playground, and picnic shelter.
HISTORY & WILDLIFE
Prestonfield Park was acquired in 2007. The 5.23-acre neighborhood park features open play areas, a pavilion, a playground, a walking trail, and a wetland buffer.
The area near Prestonfield is considered a forested/shrub wetland with cattails, giant goldenrods, and a variety of other plant life. In 2023, the West Chicago Park District’s Parks Department started a project to remove invasive plants, such as buckthorn and honeysuckle.
PAVILION RENTALS AT PRESTONFIELD PARK
The West Chicago Park District has several Picnic Pavilions available for rent May 1 through August 31. Reservations can be made through our office which is located at 201 W National Street in West Chicago, IL or online. We do not reserve without payment.
Rates
Rental rates are per day, per pavilion and are non-refundable/non-transferable.

The Prestonfield Pavilion features a covered pavilion and three picnic tables and a playground. The Prestonfield Pavilion is located in Prestonfield Park and is accessible from Hemlock Lane. Capacity is 30.
